The following outside groups currently use the Temple facilities for their activities.
Tai chi
In 1991, the group was first organized by the men of Sangha, but few participated. Now mainly women are the participants. Members participate to exercise and to sharpen concentration and mental acuity.
Details:
- Age: Any age, but mainly seniors.
- Gender: Male and Female
- When: Members meet once a week on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A month’s rest is taken both in the summer and at the end of the year.
Nia Exercise
For the past few years, this group has used the social hall to exercise. This group was not a membership group, but was given permission to use the social hall for purposes of exercising.

- Gender: Male and Female
- When: Information is available from the Temple office.
Honobono Club
In 2004, the Honobono Club was formed by Rev. Grant Ikuta and Rev. Masumi Kikuchi, with the support of some volunteers as well as support from the BDK (Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai). The goal of this group is to introduce and open the doors of the Toronto Buddhist Church to the Japanese community in the Greater Toronto area. In essence, helping to make a connection between them and the temple.

- When: The group hosts events every other month, which includes activities such as movie showings and cooking workshops.
